Ice Skating

Several weekends ago, we took a trip to see Christmas lights, meet Santa, drink hot chocolate, and....ice skate! The adults in the group were nervous. The kids in the group both declared that they would NOT fall and that they WOULD ice skate. Both fell...and both were able to ice skate. It was highly impressive.

We started out hugging the wall. Here we are with our friends Stephanie and Mary Kate.

Wall hugging progressed to this:

There were 2 sweet older boys who took Little Man all over the rink. They were so sweet and so patient with him. It was really cute to watch my boy bask in their attention.

Finally Little Man was DONE with me and insisted on going alone.

We had lot of these moments....

but he would jump right up ready to go again. This boy is stubborn and determined!! If he sets his mind to something, he doesn't stop until he does it. And, he did, indeed, complete his task and learned to ice skate!

My little ice skating wonder:

Auntie even got into the act:

Santa was present as well. Here is Little Man telling Santa EXACTLY what he wants for Christmas:

It was a perfect day!
